James M. Carroll
A life long resident of Laconia, Jim Carroll practices in the areas of criminal and varied civil litigation of family issues and personal injury. Jim was a small business owner for many years before beginning his practice of law. After five years in private practice, Jim became the Laconia City Prosecutor and served in that position for ten years. Jim graduated from Holy Cross College and earned his JD from Franklin Pierce Law Center. Jim is an advocate for youth and is a founding member of Parents and Children Together, Scholars in Action for Success, and Belknap County Teen Center. He is a recipient of the Governor's Award for Volunteerism, was named the 1998 Laconia City Employee of the Year, and has earned numerous community service awards.
He is an adjunct professor at UNH Manchester and Laconia Community and Technical College and has served as the chairman of the Laconia School Board. He is a member of Belknap Committee on Children and Families, and the Belknap County, New Hampshire and American Bar Associations.
