Paul T. Fitzgerald

Paul has practiced law in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire for over three decades. He received his Bachelor s Degree from St. Michael s College in Northern Vermont in 1972 and graduated from the Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, New Hampshire in 1976. He is admitted to practice before all Courts of the State of New Hampshire as well as the Federal District Court for the District of New Hampshire and the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Additionally, he routinely practices in front of State agencies and appeals tribunals such as the Public Employment Labor Relations Board and the Board of Tax and Land Appeals.

Paul offers general legal services but focuses on municipal and governmental issues as well as civil and business litigation. He has been providing services to New Hampshire municipalities, school districts and other governmental bodies for more than thirty years including advising those agencies or private clients regarding land use issues, public employment, roadway issues, taxation, cell phone regulation, labor contracts and virtually all other issues which arise in municipal or governmental law. He also offers services as a private mediator in civil disputes.

Paul lives in Laconia with his wife, Cherylann. They have two adult children. He has a strong history of community & civic involvement including serving two terms as Mayor of the City of Laconia, service as Chairman of the Laconia Police Commission as well as being a former member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Laconia-Weirs Beach Chamber of Commerce and as an Incorporator of both Lakes Region General Healthcare and the Taylor Community. Personal interests include hiking in New Hampshire s White Mountains and service as past President and currently as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Mount Washington Observatory. Paul is also an avid motorcyclist and co-founder of the Laconia Motorcycle Week Association.
